BNRG Bracklone

BNRG Bracklone is a new solar development in the rural townlands of Coolnafearagh and Kilmullen on the Kildare-Laois county border. Once developed, the small-scale solar farm will save 9,000* tonnes of carbon emissions annually and power the equivalent of 6,000* households.

About the Project

Situated on 52 hectares across two nearby sites, BNRG Bracklone has been carefully selected for its low-lying land suitable for high solar gains.

Enhanced screening

Sheltered by enhanced hedgerows and buffers, the site is strategically located near the national grid. Set back, buffer zones, new planting and fencing will help screen the low-lying solar array panels.

Working with the community

We are committed to working closely with the local community at all stages of the project.

Community benefit fund

A community benefit fund will be established, likely contributing €3.2 million over 16.5 years.

Protecting the landscape and environment

Environmental, landscape and heritage conservation is at the core of our solar development.

Industry-leading expertise

By bringing together best-in-class experts, we can ensure BNRG Bracklone meets the highest standards in environmental and archaeological preservation.
